Genevieve M. “GeeGee” Chapman, 94, of Mount Gilead, died peacefully Wednesday evening, March 8, 2017, at Morrow Manor Nursing Home following an extended illness. Snyder Funeral Homes of Mount Gilead is assisting the family with arrangements.

Brenda G. Davis, 73, of Richwood, died peacefully Saturday morning, March 11, 2017, at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born March 20, 1943, in Marion, to the late Millard and Martha (Worthington) Bumgarner.

SARA J. SHIELDS
Sara J. Shields, 80, of Richwood, died peacefully early Tuesday morning, March 7, 2017, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Sept. 9, 1936, in Richwood, to the late Sturgis and Gladys (Flesher) Cheney.

DR. CAROL S. KELLY
Dr. Carol S. Kelly, 77, of Simi Valley, California, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Los Robles Hospital and Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, California.
She was born May 15, 1939, in Marion, to the late Leland M. and Vera (Beers) Kelly.

MARLEAH LOIS SMITH

Marleah Lois Smith, 84, of Richwood, died peacefully late Friday evening Feb. 17, 2107, at Brookdale of Marysville.
She was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Dearborn, Michigan, to the late Harold and Helen (Bolz) Webster.

JOHN W. WATKINS
John W. Watkins, 87, long-time Prospect businessman, educator and former Marion County Commissioner, died unexpectedly Wednesday morning, Feb. 15, 2017, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
He was born June 25, 1929, in Radnor, to the late John J. and Lucille (Benzler) Watkins.

DR. CAROL S. KELLY
Dr. Carol S. Kelly, of Simi Valley, California, former Richwood resident, died Feb. 10, 2017. Arrangements are pending with Stofcheck-Ballinger Funeral Home in Richwood.

RUTH MAXINE SIMPSON
Ruth Maxine Simpson, 90, of Richwood, died Feb. 8, 2017. She went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Oct. 6, 1926, in Union County to the late Truman and Florence (McKitrick) Lowe.

ROBERT C. DAVIS

Robert C. Davis, 92, of Richwood, died peacefully at home early Tuesday morning, Jan. 24, 2017.
He was born Sept. 28, 1924, in Thompson Township, Delaware County, to the late David and Edith (Strohl) Davis.

Jo Ann Heller, 88, of LaRue, died peacefully late Thursday evening, Jan. 26, 2017, at the Marion General Hospital.
She was born June 10, 1928, in Richwood to the late Edgar and Daisy (Reece) Hoffman.

ANNE P. FLEMING ORAHOOD
Anne P. Fleming Orahood, 89, of Prospect, died Sunday morning, Jan. 29, 2017, at Memorial Hospital in Marysville.
She was born January 31, 1927 in Prospect, to the late Lawrence and Hildred (Keller) Fleming.

NELL BERNADINE BLUE

Nell Bernadine Blue, 74, of Richwood, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, following a brief illness at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Carl W. and Mary (Doyle) Strebar on April 7, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan.

Wilma D. Dysert, 99, of Richwood, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2017, at Carriage Court in Marysville.
She was born May 22, 1917, in Jackson Township, to the late Frank and Nellie (Jerew) Marsh.

A. Christina “Cris” Erwin, 64, of Richwood, died peacefully early Sunday morning, Jan. 22, 2017 at her home with her loving family by her side.
She was born July 7, 1952, in Marion, to the late Jozef and Stanislawa (Maszka) Szczepanski.

KATHYRN  MARIE GRAY
Kathryn Marie Gray, 65, of Richwood, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
She was born June 19, 1951, in Marion, to the late Glenn M. and Ruth Eileen (Wood) Gray.

NELL BERNADINE BLUE

Nell Bernadine Blue, 74, of Richwood, died Monday, Jan. 16, 2017, following a brief illness at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to the late Carl W. and Mary (Doyle) Strebar on April 7, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan.

JEFFREY L. "GRIFF" GRIFFITH
Jeffrey L. “Griff” Griffith, 62, of Richwood died Sunday, Jan. 15, 2017, at home, surrounded by his loving and devoted family following a battle with cancer.
He was born Sept. 4, 1954, in Kenton, to William L. and Phyllis I. (Roberts) Griffith.

Marion E. Hatcher, 86, of Prospect, died peacefully Friday morning, Jan. 13, 2017, at the Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Jan. 31, 1930, in Marion.

Jeannette Jones, 79, of Richwood, died peacefully Monday morning, Jan. 9, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born December 29, 1937 in Marion to the late Francis H. and Thelma (Kohler) Postell.

WALDEMAR WILHELM “WALLY” BUETTNER
Waldemar Wilhelm “Wally” Buettner, 75, of Richwood, died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2017, at Riverside Methodist Hospital.
He was born June 13, 1941 in Lodz, Poland, to the late Wilhelm O. and Eugenia (Zdnzsenicki) Buettner.

CHARLES LESTER DOUGLAS

Charles Lester Douglas, 75, of LaRue, died Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at the home of his sister in Mt. Gilead.   
He was born June 14, 1941, in Richwood, to the late Charles W. Douglas and Cleo (Lama) Layne. 

DONNA M. SEITER FLACH
Donna M. Seiter Flach, 96, of Essex, died Tuesday evening, Dec. 27, 2016, at Memorial Gables. 
She was born Aug. 21, 1920, in Marion County, to the late Otto H. and Emma (Dutt) Seiter.

RUTH MAE MARTIN

Ruth Mae Martin, 92, of Essex, died peacefully early Christmas morning, Dec. 25, 2016, at Heartland of Marion. 
She was born Feb. 27, 1924, in Union County, to the late Clarence and Ilo Mae (Brady) Patterson.

EVERETT “GENE” MCCARTY

Everett “Gene” McCarty, 86, of Magnetic Springs, died peacefully at home on Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born Aug. 28, 1930, in Middletown, to the late Jonas and Nellie (Shockey) McCarty, the youngest of 14 children.

CAROLYN K. MARVIN
Carolyn K. Marvin, 65, formerly of Richwood, passed away peacefully in her home of Mesa, Arizona, on Nov. 14, 2016.
She was born on Feb. 6, 1951, to Desmond and Marcile (Ballard) Hecker and is survived by her husband, Tom and son, Cole.

MITCHELL “MICKEY” FIELDS
Mitchell “Mickey” Fields, 58, of Richwood, died unexpectedly Sunday, Nov. 27, 2016, at home. 
He was born June 25, 1958, in Marion, to Glenn “Ernie” and Thelma Louise (Wood) Fields.

MAXINE A. BLUE
Maxine A. Blue, 91, of Prospect, died Friday evening, Nov. 18, 2016 at the Marion Manor. She went home to see the Lord.
She was born Aug. 10, 1925, in Marion County, to the late Fred “Pete” and Edith (Chapman) Seebach.

ROBERT LOWELL BAKER
Robert Lowell Baker, 53, of rural West Mansfield, died unexpectedly early Friday morning Nov. 11, 2016, at his home.
He was born Aug. 4, 1963, in Kenton, to Lowell and Patricia (Fields) Baker, and they survive at home.

FLORENCE (GROSE) BORLAND
Florence (Grose) Borland, 89, of Richwood, died Friday, Nov. 11, 2016, at the Heartland of Marion.
Born Aug 11, 1927, at South Solon, near Springfield, she was the daughter of the late Emor L. and Glenna (Morris) Grose, Sr.

LOIS J. SLONE
Lois J. Slone, 84, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 9, 2016, at her residence surrounded by family. On Sept. 12, 1932, she was born to the late Austin and Tina (Slone) Casebolt in Raven, Kentucky.

HELEN MAE (DRAKE) CLAPSADDLE
Helen Mae (Drake) Clapsaddle, 101, of Richwood, died peacefully at home, Tuesday morning, Nov. 1, 2016.
She was born July 8, 1915, in a country home outside of Agosta (New Bloomington), the daughter of the late Earl and Mabel (Manley) Drake.

ROBERT L. DISBENNETT
Robert L. Disbennett, 90, of Richwood, died Saturday evening, Nov. 5, 2016, at Heartland of Marysville.
He was born Sept. 14, 1926, in York Center, to the late Everett L. “Boone” Sr. and Winifred (Sanderson) Disbennett.

EDGAR H. “ED” MCMAHAN
Edgar H. “Ed” McMahan, 76, of Richwood, died Thursday evening, Nov. 3, 2016, at the Memorial Hospital in Marysville. 
He was born in York Township at the family home on June 4, 1940, to the late Abner and Mary (Kirk) McMahan.

ALVIN “ALFIE” PAYNE II
