Christine “Teeny” Combs
Christine “Teeny” Combs, was born on December 4, 1962 in Kenton, Ohio, passed away after a long battle with cancer on August 2, 2026, surrounded by loved ones in her home in Georgetown, Indiana. Christine, known affectionately as ‘Teeny’ by family, worked as a School Cafeteria Manager at New Albany Floyd County Schools, where she was cherished by both her colleagues and the students she served. In her personal life she enjoyed time outdoors tending her garden and flower beds, and indoors keeping a cozy home where she loved to read (usually with a cat in her lap) and spend time with her granddaughter.
Christine is preceded in death by her oldest sister Joni Arlene Coder, and her loving parents, Robert Lee Coder, Sr. and Ellen Arlene Michael Wilson.
She is survived by her loving husband, Brian Phillip Combs, daughter, Mariah Justine Gauwitz (Jeremy), granddaughter Faye Christine Gauwitz, and her siblings Angela Mae Coder, Thomas Harry Coder (Tammy), Joyce Jayne Coder, and Robert Lee Coder, Jr.
Gehlbach and Royse Funeral Home in Corydon, Indiana is in charge of arrangements.
