Auditor: Change must come from statehouse

As bills passed by the Ohio Statehouse are starting to take effect, Union County Auditor Andrea Weaver said her office is here to answer questions.

Between the county’s recent property revaluation, which led to increases to residents’ taxes, and those bills from the state, Weaver said she’s trying to get information out to the public.

At Monday night’s Marysville City Council meeting, Weaver gave a presentation on both property taxes and the bills recently passed by the legislature that have changed some processes related to tax collection.
