North Union spikers fall to Fairbanks; split pair of conference matches

Fairbanks’ volleyball squad swept North Union in three sets on Saturday.

FHS won by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-19.

Glory Blevins and Katelynn Zimmerman respectively finished with eight and seven kills for North Union.

Kellyn Ufferman tallied 18 assists, while Blevins and Emmy Eastman respectively notched 11 and nine digs.

The Lady Cats slipped to 4-6 with the setback.

Prior to the match against Fairbanks, North Union split a pair of Central Buckeye Conference volleyball matches,

The Lady Cats lost in three sets, 23-25, 17-25, 22-25, at Indian Lake.

Ufferman was 12-of-12 serving and dished out 26 assists.

Zimmerman notched 14 kills and Blevins added six kills.

Scoring one service ace each were Blevins, Ufferman, Eastman, Madison Green, Avery Poling and Aleah Osborne.

North Union defeated Shawnee 25-23, 22-25, 25-13, 25-14 in a match at North Union.

Zimmerman was 32-of-36 hitting with 21 kills, picked up two blocks and six service aces.

Eastman finished with eight kills and Blevins and Green each had seven,

Ufferman totaled 37 assists with Eastman and Poling each had two service aces.
