Locals win dog race in Lima

Bright’s Swim Dogs, a group of local family members from Richwood, recently won the Open Line Grand Final with their dog Bearclaw, pictured above, at Max’s Water Race in Lima. In an open line race, the first dog to cross a designated marker line in the water wins. The races are part of Max’s Trader Days and Water Dog Races at Allen County Fairgrounds, where dogs from all over the region compete for top honors in the races. Below, several dogs launch themselves into the water during one of the races. (Photos submitted)
