New $7M UCSO facility eyed

Union County is working on a new facility that will both expand and consolidate the various locations currently used by the sheriff’s office.
The deadline for architecture firms to submit a statement of qualifications to work on the project ended last week. Once a firm is selected, they will move onto the design phase.
“Basically we’re looking for resumes from firms, showing what types of projects they’ve worked on that might be similar to this and what their company does,” County Administrator Bill Narducci said. “Then we’ll put a team together to start reviewing the proposals.”
