County EMA director named to national post

Last year, Union County’s Emergency Management Agency worked to received accreditation from a national organization. This year, its director, Brad Gilbert, will be one of the people who now votes to accredit other agencies.

Gilbert was recently appointed to the National Commission for Accreditation as a commissioner in the Emergency Management Accreditation Program (EMAP). The group is an independent organization that establishes credible standards for EMA programs across the country.
