Lady Cats notch second win over River Valley, stay undefeated prior to Thanksgiving break

The path was a little rocky for the North Union girls basketball team last Tuesday in its second non-league game at River Valley.

The Lady Cats were able to overcome the obstacles to finish with a 53-46 victory over the Lady Vikings.

“I was proud of the way we battled,” NU Head Coach Mitchell Loomis said. “Give River Valley credit. They played really hard but happily we came out on top.”

North Union (2-0) trailed by as much as six points in the third quarter but the Lady Cats rallied and scored the last six points of the frame to lead 36-35.
