The Wildcats counted 107.5 points as West Jefferson was the division champion with 177 points. They did not have an individual championship but a pair of wrestlers finished in second place. Collin Welch was runnerup at 126 while Jason Rankin was second at 285. Securing a spot in the district tournament were Brody Rote (third, 144), Broden O’Reilly (third, 215) and Jack Kemp (fourth, 138). North Union will be at the district tournament at Troy High School.

North Union’s Rylee Horne qualified for the girls district wrestling tournament as a result of finishing fourth in sectional action at Jonathan Alder. The top four in each weight class qualified for the district tournament at Big Walnut. Horne, wrestling in the 120-pound division, won her first two matches by pin.

After losing in the championship semifinal, she won her consolation semifinal match before losing in the consolation final. The Lady Cats had two other wrestlers place but not advance to the district. Kylynn Thompson was fifth at 235 and Addison Kirby was sixth at 140. Also wrestling for North Union were Saige King, Kathleen Converse and Madison Goad.
