Former Wings director charged

A former director at a local non-profit has been indicted after allegedly receiving over $250,000 in salary over the course of three years while employed with falsified educational qualifications.

The Union County Grand Jury has charged Tracie Renae Gordon- Nelson, 50, of 250 Pearlash Road, with one felony count of aggravated theft of the third degree, one felony count of forgery of the third degree, two felony counts of tampering with records of the third degree and one count of misdemeanor insurance fraud.

According to court documents, from April 28, 2022 to Oct. 28, 2025, Gordon-Nelson deprived $251,263 from Wings Support & Recovery, a non-profit that works to combat mental illness and addiction in the community. Unio…
