Raymond to have SRO coverage for first time

The School Resource Officer (SRO) Program hasn’t returned to full strength in Marysville, but for the residents of Raymond, it’s better than ever.

After signing agreements with the Marysville Police Department and Union County Sheriff’s Office on Sept. 18, officers will return full-time to the high and middle schools and a fourth officer will float between Creekview Intermediate and the elementary schools in the city.

But for the first time, Raymond Elementary School will have an SRO presence – a deputy from the sheriff’s department.
