North Union continues expansion, grading talks

North Union’s Board of Education continued discussion on old business items including the implementation of a weighted grading scale and a building expansion at the high school.

At the regular meeting of the board on Monday, board president Brian Davis said he wanted to bring the weighted grading scale topic back up after the board worked toward it during a recent work session.

Generally, a weighted grading scale assigns higher values to difficult classes such as advanced placement (AP) or college credit plus (CCP) courses. Then, those values are used to calculate a student’s grade point average (GPA).
