Vehicles involved in an early morning crash that left one driver dead sit at the edges of Route 31 near Miller Road on Sept. 6. The driver of the 2009 Honda Civic was pronounced dead at the scene after a 2023 Jeep Renegade crossed the centerline and hit the vehicle head-on, according to the Union County Sheriff’s Office. One driver is dead after a two-vehicle crash in northern Union County over the weekend.
In the early hours on Sept. 6, two vehicles traveling on Route 31 near Miller Road crashed in a head-on collision.
According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office press release, a 2023 Jeep Renegade was traveling northbound on the roadway around 6:30 a.m. when the driver crossed the centerline and struck a 2009 Honda Civic traveling south.
