Local man charged for strangling
A Richwood man has been charged after reportedly strangling his live-in girlfriend.
The Union County Grand Jury has indicted Michael Vincent Harmon, 35, of 15 Beatty Ave., Richwood, and charged him with one count of felony strangulation of the second degree carrying a maximum sentence of eight years in prison and misdemeanor domestic violence.
According to Richwood police reports and court documents, at 3:11 a.m., Aug. 10, police were dispatched to Harmon’s home on Beatty Avenue for a reported domestic dispute, where the investigation claims that he created substantial risk of physical harm to his partner by strangulation.
