Donor provides funds for new signs

An anonymous donor will provide funding to go toward four new entrance signs for the village.

At the regular Richwood council meeting on Monday, Mayor Scott Jerew said that he got an estimate from a masonry company to build four new entrance signs – including all of the construction work – for $25,350.

“And we have a donor that has graciously paid for four of those entrance signs for the Village of Richwood,” Jerew said.

He said that the signs will be designed to be permanent, being majorly made out of stone. The design would feature stone pillars with an archway over the top and a concrete foundation. Jerew said they would be eight feet wide and five feet tall as long as the property allows for …
