Phillips eyes run for judge

Union County Prosecutor David Phillips is looking to get a different view inside the courtroom.

The office’s head legal official recently circulated a petition to be in the running for judge in the Union County Court of Common Pleas next year.

If successful, Phillips would fill the seat of current Judge Don Fraser, whose term will expire early in 2027.

“Essentially, Judge Fraser would be done in February of 2027, so if my bid is successful, I would take on that role right after that,” Phillips said.
