Commissioner offers hand with village issues

A Union County Commissioner came before Richwood Council with options and answers to help address village issues, including delinquent property frustrations and paving for village streets.

At the regular meeting of the village on Monday, County commissioner Tom McCarthy began by discussing village concerns over blighted buildings. He introduced a program as part of the Union County Land Bank that provides funding for dealing with blighted buildings. He said that an expected $200,000 of state and federal money will be allocated for use.
