Bump calls it a career

Those who have found themselves at the Richwood Municipal Building over the last seven years may have heard a joke or twenty coming from the direction of the zoning office. That time will soon be coming to an end.

Richwood’s Marion Bump, 79, is retiring from his position as the zoning officer for the village after seven years of service. He will remain in the position until the village hires his replacement.

At a recent meeting of village council, Mayor Scott Jerew announced that Bump would be leaving.

“First and foremost I want to thank Marion for everything that he’s done for the village and he has done more for the village as a zoning officer than anybody that we’ve had in my time,” Jerew sa…
