U.C. investments earn $1.5M in Q1

Union County’s investment income is still solid after receiving a slight bump this quarter compared to the same time last year.
Treasurer Andy Smarra told the county commissioners recently that, overall, the investment outlook is stable and that the county is positioned very well financially, including being in a solid, local revenue environment.
“Things look strong here. Housing demand looks strong here, prices are still going up, although not as fast as in 2021 and 2022. They’re still going up.
