Wildcat grapplers take sixth place as a team during annual Don Wasserbeck Classic tourney

North Union wrestlers were facing some of the toughest competition they had seen on the mat all year as the Wildcats were among the teams that participated in last Saturday’s Don Wasserbeck Classic. Each of the three divisions was represented among the 15 teams and North Union battled its way to an overall sixthplace finish. “The competition was very challenging but our team wrestled the toughest I’ve seen in the past month,” NU Head Coach Garret Andrews said. “I’m very proud of our guys for going out there against top seeded or highly-ranked wrestlers and not backing down.”

North Union totaled 124.5 points in finishing sixth.
