Financial Incentives available for landlords

A new incentive program from the state and federal level has funding now available for Union County landlords interested in participating.

Adam Negley, director of the Mental Health and Recovery Board of Union County, said the money is available and he would like to see local involvement.

“It is specific to incentivizing landlords to enter into lease arrangements with individuals who may not be qualified under traditional criteria,” he said. “So what the program is intending to do is make it more appealing for landlords to rent to individuals with mental health issues and a criminal record.”
