Lady Cats look to keep high standards with new head coach at the helm

The North Union girls basketball team will have a different but familiar look to it for the 2024-25 season.

Mitchell Loomis is embarking on his first year as head coach of the Lady Cats, succeeding Bri Jackson, who stepped away from coaching at the end of last season.

But Loomis will not be unknown to a large part of this year’s team.

The past two seasons Loomis was the junior varsity boys coach and before that had been a coach in the North Union Middle School program.

Loomis is looking to extend the success North Union has had over the past few years.
