RW Council to join county in paving bid

Richwood Council agreed to piggyback with the county and put forward $300,000 for paving work for village streets this year.

At a recent meeting of the Richwood Council, Fiscal Officer Sarah Sellers said that the village has accumulated $100,000 per year from the streets levy for the last three years. Sellers said she received a rough estimate of how far that money would go toward paving.

“$300,000 would pave around 1 ¼ to 1 ½ miles of street,” Sellers said.

“That’s not far,” council member Donnie Ridgeway said.
