Richwood Park to see new cornhole courts

Richwood Park will soon have new boards for fans of cornhole.

The village council voted to approve a measure Monday that would bring two sets of concrete boards to the park in dedicated courts on the grounds.

Mayor Scott Jerew said the agreement would be with the same company that currently supplies the park’s kayak rentals, Rent. Fun.

“They’ll do all the construction, they’ll put the locker in and do a five-year contract with a 50-50 split on the cornhole bag rentals,” he said. “To me, it’s a no-brainer.”
