Approved House bill would help NU students
A bill that recently passed in the Ohio House of Representatives will have a “substantial” impact on students at North Union who participate in out-of-school programming.
House Bill 125, which passed in the Ohio House in March, requires K-12 schools to consider students’ present and grant excused absences when they are participating in district-approved activities. While these activities vary from school-toschool, significant programs like FFA, 4-H and Robotics at North Union would be affected. The bill is currently awaiting further action in the Ohio Senate.
