N. Franklin Street phase four begins

Construction has begun on phase four of the North Franklin Street project.

Crews began staging equipment on Monday to begin water and storm line construction on the village’s main thoroughfare. Village administrator Eric Kincaid said that North Franklin Street will be closed down to one lane between Wood Street and Beatty Avenue.

“It will be down to one lane and they’ll have a (traffic) signal,” Kincaid said. “It’ll be like the last several phases we’ve had.”

As far as timeline goes, the plan is for construction on the water and storm lines to be finished before winter.

North Union is currently working alongside the police department to determine a new route for this …
