Resident seeks change to ordinance on ducks
A resident is looking for a change to the village ordinance that would allow for ducks.
At the regular meeting of Richwood Council on Monday, resident Nick Hoodlet said that he would rather see ducks be open to all village residents in an ordinance change as opposed to applying for a zoning variance for himself.
“I’d rather look into, even if you vote against it, look into changing the ordinance…for everyone, I don’t want to be singled out,” Hoodlet said.
Back in May, Hoodlet came before council after receiving letters of violations about his ducks on his property, which is near the Richwood Lake and Park. He asked if his ducks could be added as an exemption for his daughter.
