NUMS Cagers compete in conference games

North Union recenlty began play in the Central Buckeye Conference girls basketball tournament.

The Lady Cats posted a second-round victory in the seventh-grade tournament, defeating Shawnee 43-22.

Finley Ufferman poured in 33 points for North Union.

In the eighth-grade tournament, North Union won its opening-round contest, defeating Tecumseh 34-10.

Kaelyn Huff scored 11 points and Mau’au Si’ufanua grabbed 12 rebounds for the Lady Cats.

They lost 40-33 to London in the second round.

Huff totaled 14 points and Nuna Baker added nine points.

The boys teams are still in regular-season action.

The eighth-grade team defeated Bexley 24-23 as Luke Mask led the way with 11 points.

Bexley won the seventh-grade game 37-31.

Wes Hajjar led the Wildcats with 19 points.
