Lady Cats remain unbeaten in conference play with win over Lakers, clinch conference title

After a little bit of sluggish start offensively, North Union got on a roll and never looked back in defeating Indian Lake 52-27 last Saturday at Indian Lake.

The win clinched the Central Buckeye Conference’s Mad River Division title for the Lady Cats with one league game remaining.

It is North Union’s fifth straight Mad River crown and sixth in seven years. The Lady Cats are now 9-0 in league play and 17-3 overall.

While the offense took a little while to get going, North Union’s defense was tenacious in holding the Lakers (4-5, 10-8) to just 16 points through the first three quarters.
