Editor’s note: The following letter was addressed to the Union County community from Union County school superintendents.

––– As your local school superintendents, we write to you not as politicians or advocates, but as parents, neighbors and community members who share your commitment to the future of Union County. We understand your concern over the growing burden of property taxes and want to share a broader view of what’s happening in our state and how it affects the essential services we all rely on.
