Ohio Treasurer pitches small business program

A new loan program from the Ohio Treasurer’s office could benefit small businesses in Union County and around the state.

Treasurer Robert Sprague announced the Buckeye Business Advantage on Oct. 1 and stopped by the Journal-Tribune office to talk about it. The program is aimed at helping Ohio’s small business owners access low-cost capital.

“There are a lot of programs out there to attract companies from out of state, to give them incentives to come here, this program is for Ohio manufacturers,” he said. “It’s to help them expand and it’s for small Ohio manufacturers, less than 150 employees.”
