Sheriff’s Report

From Union County Sheriff’s Office reports:

Abdul R. Omar, 20, of Hilliard, was arrested on an outstanding arrest warrant out of the Dublin Police Department at 6:36 p.m., Sept. 2, as the result of a traffic stop on Route 31. A deputy turned Omar over to a Dublin police officer.

A deputy investigated a trespassing complaint at a home in the 27000 block of Route 4 at 10:31 a.m., Sept. 3. No report was taken.

Richard E. Baker, 64, of Richwood, was taken into custody by a deputy at 11:04 a.m., Sept. 4, with help from a Richwood police officer, for an outstanding arrest warrant. He was transported to the Union County Sheriff’s Office.

In the 26000 block of Claibourne Road on Sept. 4, a deputy investigated unwanted emails that were received at a home at 4:22 p.m. A report was taken.

Deputies were dispatched to a home on May Street in Magnetic Springs on Sept. 4 for a dispute between neighbors at 5:49 p.m. The parties were separated and no report was taken.

Deputies and units from the Northwestern Joint Fire District and Marysville Division of Fire responded to the intersection of Wolford Maskill Road and Martin Welch Road on Sept. 5 to investigate an injury crash involving a 2018 Tesla Model 3 that was struck by a 2014 Ford Explorer. One victim was transported to Memorial Hospital and a report was taken.

A deputy was sent to a home on South Main Street in Magnetic Springs on Sept. 7 to investigate a dispute between neighbors over the property line at 1:58 p.m. No report was taken.

From Ohio State Highway Patrol reports:

Susan S. Cochran, 73, of Mount Victory, was cited for failure to secure load on a vehicle following a property damage crash. At 9:08 a.m., Aug. 29, Cochran was driving a 2006 Ford E-450 van eastbound on U.S. 33 near milepost 16 when the emergency escape window on her van, a former church bus, was not latched and blew off in the wind, striking the front of a 2017 Buick Enclave following behind her.

A trooper responded to Route 347 near milepost 12 for a property damage crash at 4:40 p.m., Sept. 4, involving a 2018 Honda Civic that struck a deer while traveling northwest.

A trooper responded to Yoakum Road near Hartley Road for an injury crash involving a driver from Richwood that struck a deer at 11:20 p.m., Sept. 4. The driver reported possible minor injury and was not treated or transported.
