Offer for Opera House pitched

A small business owner and North Union graduate has made an offer on the Opera House and came before Richwood’s Village Council to discuss what his plans would be with the building if his bid is accepted.

At the regular meeting of council on Monday, Andrew Levering answered questions from council regarding his plans to revitalize the Opera House into a food hall and community center – should his offer to purchase the property be accepted. Bidding on the Opera House closes on June 17 and final bids are set to be presented to council at its next meeting on June 23, where council can either accept, reject or table Levering’s offer.
