Turning up the torque

The Mid Ohio Antique Farm Machinery Show kicked off at the Richwood Independent Fairgrounds on Friday and ran through Sunday. The event started without a hitch, despite several locals throwing some wrenches into the plans during the annual wrench toss on Friday. Pictured above, local Jeff Myers launches a wrench in the sky notching a score of 32 feet. Ryan Gibson, below, won the men’s toss with a distance of 39 feet and six inches. Pictured 2nd below, Carter Bayles throws a smaller tool 35 feet during the boy’s toss as event host Rick Baldinger watched on. 3rd below in red, Roczen Gibson warms up with a throw during the boy’s toss in front of a group of spectators. For the women’s toss, local Billie Jo Gibson won with a distance of 31 feet and five inches. As for the girl’s, Lettie Henault won unopposed with a score of 19 feet. (Gazette photos by Kyle Meddles)
