North Union FFA teaches agriculture to elementary students
The North Union FFA Chapter hosted an event called “Food for America” on May 15. Food for America is an agricultural activity planned by the North Union FFA high school students that teaches second graders about the importance of agriculture and explains the amount of opportunities FFA can provide.
Second graders were put into groups within their classes and were split into groups with two high school students to follow for the day. There were a total of 18 different activities, ranging from livestock animals to an obstacle course. Throughout the day, students engaged in fun activities while learning about the future of agriculture and how it’s such a vital part of our country.
