Resident asks commissioners to help make living in county affordable

One Union County resident is hoping more can be done about affordable housing options in the area.

Beth Sanders, a Marysville resident and business owner, told the county commissioners recently that, as prices continue to rise, more should be done to get affordable options to the county.

“What incentives can be made by the townships, county, city to say, ‘we are seeking this,’” Sanders said. “We just built those apartments out by Kroger, well, why isn’t that a condo? Or why isn’t part of it a condo? Why isn’t there a requirement to make part – if we’re going to bring an apartment building to Marysville, let’s have so much of…
