Richwood officials talk permits for food trucks

Richwood Council is weighing the potential impact of food trucks on brick-and-mortar stores.

At the regular meeting of Richwood Council on Monday, Mayor Scott Jerew said he wanted to get council’s thoughts on the subject since he has been receiving calls from people wanting to set up food trucks in the village.

“…at the parking lots uptown, I know they’re setting up at the dollar store, Richwood Bank wants to have them again on ‘food truck Friday’ (and) I know the farmers market would like to continue food trucks, but we’re getting push back from the brick-and-mortars,” Jerew said.
