Numerous agencies put funding requests on ballot

While national candidates are getting much of the attention going into the Nov. 5 election, nearly a dozen entities will be asking for money from Union County residents in various areas.

Voters in the Marysville Exempted Village School District are being asked to approve an additional 5.5-mill operating levy for 10 years, starting in 2024, and to replace an existing 1.5mill tax for Marysville Public Library’s expenses for 5 years.

The Union County Board of Developmental Disabilities is also asking for more money. The board is asking voters for an additional levy of 1.1 mills, for seven years, to fund community programs and facilities for developmental disa…
