Logjam cleanup completed early and under budget

After years of work to bring it to fruition, the Mill Creek logjam project is finished.

Union County Engineer Jeff Stauch updated the county commissioners last week on the project’s status and he said while some equipment may remain, the crews have pulled out.

“They are done,” he said. “Unless, for instance, we had a large rain and we had a jam form and we wanted to bring them in for some additional work, we could do that. Then that contract would maybe be a change order. But they fulfilled the scope of the initial contract.”
