North Union cross country runners place during B. Valley’s Baron Blast

North Union, competing for the first time this season, joined seven other teams on Saturday in the Baron Blast at Buckeye Valley High School.

The Lady Cats were fourth overall in the girls meet with 102 points but did have two runners in the top five.

Kailin McElroy was fourth (21 minutes, 04.09 seconds) and Layney Wilds was fifth (21:23.75).

Also running for the Lady Cats were Allana Smith (26th, 25:05.44), Analeigh Kelson (27th, 25:18.68), Josie Held (40th, 26:40.22) and Leah Conrad (69th, 32:55.14).

North Union was sixth overall in the boys meet with 121 points.

The Wildcats were led by Felix Plouck, who finished sixth in the time of 17:51.40.

Also running for North Union were Joseph Wiley (16th, 18:43.80), Mack Marlette (19th, 19:11.30), Colton Smith (31st, 19:42.30), Phillip Ardrey (61st, 21:37. 20) and Wyatt Roby (84th, 25:14.10).
