U.C. Airport receives $720K state grant
The Union County Airport recently received over $700,000 in state funding to rehab its terminal area. At the regular meeting of the airport authority board last week, Dave Gotschall, project manager with Woolpert Consultants, said that the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) approved $720,641 to go toward new tie-down aprons at the terminal and t-hangars.

Aircraft can usually be secured to these tiedowns with chains, ropes or ratchet nylon straps. Most planes have three tie-down rings located at the tail section and on the wings.
