Family fights to keep the Union Manor murderer behind bars
After spending nearly four decades in prison, 88-year-old Charles Price is seeking parole once again after being convicted of shooting his estranged wife, Paula Pitts, to death at Union Manor nursing home in 1989.
Meanwhile, members of the family and advocacy groups are looking to deny Price’s chance at parole for the tenth time, but fear that this time he could actually get out.
“Unless we can prove that we are as scared as we really are, I think he has a good shot, and that’s even scarier,” said Tina Milburn, who is Pitts’ youngest daughter and stepchild to Price. “I lived with him. He was scary to live with.”
Price’s parole hearing is slated for June 16 with the Ohio Parole Board. The …
