Lady Wildcats handle Jonathan Alder, remain at the top of Mad River Division

A pair of local softball teams at or near the top of their respective divisions in the Central Buckeye Conference tangled with each other near Plain City.
North Union went into the game tied with Shawnee at the top of the Mad River Division with matching 10-2 records. Jonathan Alder stood in second place in the CBC’s Kenton Trail Division at 8-3, trailing Kenton Ridge with a 12-0 mark. The Lady Cats plated two runs in the visitors’ portion of the sixth inning and added an insurance score in the seventh to claim a 5-1 verdict over the Lady Pioneers.
