Council retracts ban on alleyway for LifeWise

Richwood Council has had a change of heart about letting LifeWise bus drivers use the village alleys during student drop-off.

At the last meeting of the village on April 13, council asked for a commitment from LifeWise – the releasedtime relig ious instruction program that provides public school students with Bible-based character education – to stop dropping students off in the alley between Bomford Street and Ottawa Street at the Ri c hwoo d First Metho dist Church. The request from council came after a resident complained about LifeWise buses driving too fast and causing damage to the alley. Officials with LifeWise agreed to stop driving buses down the alley for student drop-off at that time.
