Area still hot for business leads

There is no shortage of business interests in the Marysville-Union County area and sometimes when developers are looking at the community, officials say they want information fast.

Eric Phillips, economic development director for both the city and county, said occasionally his office is asked to turn information around to prospective developers in a couple of weeks, other times it’s much shorter.

“They ask a number of questions and a lot of times we have two days to respond or we might have two weeks – we like two weeks better than two days, depending on the size of the projects, so it just varies by the time,” he said. “So this is kind of the proc…
