While not able to advance to the Division II boys state tournament, North Union bowlers put forth a school-record performance on Tuesday in the district tournament at HP Lanes. The Wildcats finished sixth overall, their best placement ever for a district tournament, and had a score of 3696, a school district tournament record. “The day started off well and only got better as the day went,”: head coach Matt Donohue said. Led by games of 234 by Keegan Donohue, 210 by Brendan Greer and 208 by Riley Otten, North Union posted a count of 2634 in the 15 individual games. That followed with a score of 1062, an average of 177, in the baker games. In their last baker game of the season the Wildcats posted a score of 205. Donohue had the high three-game series of 570, which ranked him 18th individually. Otten had a 538 series and Zach Howald had a 522 series. Rolling two games were Landon Moss (374) and Greer (346) while Chase Copas and Gavin Amrine had a game of 136 and 148 respectively. The top two teams at districts advance to the state tournament.
