Memorial buys two more lots near hospital

Memorial Health has purchased two additional properties near the hospital’s main campus which will be used for parking.

The system’s board of trustees approved the purchase of lots at 517 and 518 S. Walnut St. for $325,000, continuing a decade-long strategy of acquiring nearby land to support campus growth.

“As Memorial Health continues to grow, our priority is to ensure that patients and visitors have the most convenient access to care,” said Chip Hubbs, CEO of Memorial Health. “By dedicating nearby lots to employee parking, we can preserve prime parking spaces closest to our facility entrances for those who need them most—our patients and their families.”…
