NUMS hoopsters collect wins against Elgin and Shawnee

North Union Middle School girls team split two games last Wednesday against Shawnee.

The seventh-grade team won 47-20.

Finley Ufferman had 29 points while Clara Stotz and Atley Nicholson added nine and seven points respectively.

The eighth-grade team lost 42-29.

Kaydence Howard led with nine points and Kaelyn Huff totaled seven points.

North Union defeated Elgin 61-14 in middle school boys basketball action.

Wes Hajjar led the eighth-grade Wildcats with 18 points.

Elgin won the seventh-grade game 25-13.

Mason Hamilton notched five points to pace North Union.
