Lady Cats defeat Springfield Shawnee, fall to Versailles in non-league contest

North Union’s girls basketball program went 1-1 in a pair of road contests.

The Lady Cats were able to fly away with a 71-26 win over Shawnee last Saturday but suffered a setback against Versailles, 71-62.

Lady Cats fall to Tigers

North Union battled through four quarters and two overtime sessions but came up short in a 71-62 loss this past Monday at Versailles.

The Lady Cats (14-3) trailed 36-32 heading into in the fourth quarter. They rallied to tie it in regulation at 49.

Each team scored nine points in the first overtime and Versailes (9-4) scored 13 of the 17 second overtime points.
