Airport budget set at $207K for 2026

The Union County Airport Authority officially approved its budget for 2026, including a full rundown on the status of payments for the new 15-unit t-hangars.

At the regular meeting of the airport last week, board president Steve Koenig said that the operating budget for 2026 will be $207,060 not including grants and other sources of funding.

“This year (2025) we only spent $115,000 on the budget, so these budget numbers are in fact that, they are a very conservative estimate of what we need to run the airport,” Koenig said. “For the last three years we haven’t exceeded $135,000 for our actual operating budget.”
